2008 L’OREAL FRANCE FOR WOMEN IN SCIENCE FELLOWSHIPS
The second annual L'OREAL France For Women in Science Fellowships were awarded on November 17th 2008 in a ceremony held at the Palais de la Découverte in Paris. Ten fellowships were awarded to young women researchers pursuing doctoral studies in the sciences.
One of this fellowship was awarded to Myriam Bouslama from Jorge Gallego Laboratory, INSERM U676 (Paris). In the field of Neurosciences, her research was to determine whether brain lesions and resulting apnea are the cause of learning and psychomotor difficulties in prematurely born children.
Established by the L’OREAL Foundation and fully supported by the French National Commission for UNESCO and the French Academy of Sciences, the National Fellowships are an extension of the international L’OREAL-UNESCO For Women in Science program.
